Post Selling property

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me that it is a good idea to sell the property when the market is not up and going down. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

With Regards,

Default good idea to sell property

Hello,

Yes, I can tell you that it is a good idea to sell the property when the market is going down and not up. Although, I can also tell you it is a bad idea to sell the property when in today's current market. I guess it really depends on your personal situation and what is best for you, not what typically is the right thing to do.

Do you have to sell right now?...Are you in need of cash, do you want to sell a property that is causing you headaches, do you want to take the money and reinvest in something more lucrative?...

On one hand I would say do not sell the property...typically you want to sell when the market is high, and buy when it is low. I do not know where you are from, so I'm not sure of your current market where you reside....If you have the ability to hold for the next 3-5 years, you will most likely be able to sell it for more.

Now if you want to sell, then I wouod say yes to the question. In my opinion, we have not reached bottom of the market, and we will probably not be heading back up for 3-5 years. Until we stop bailing out the banks, we will not hit bottom, and therefore we cannot continue to recover....All of the papers want to brag about the increase in homes being sold...but the only homes that are being sold are distressd properties, bank owned properties, foreclosures, short sales, etc....So you probably will get more for your property if you sold it now compared to 18 months down the road.

It is a little difficult to give you my best advice without knowing more about your situation. It depends on what your needs are, and what you will do after the sale of the property.

If you are really in need of cash then I think it is better for you to sell the house now or other I think it is better that you wait for the market condition to get better then you can sell your house.

Yes, I do agree with you as if there is a urgent requirement of cash then it can be beneficial for you to sell your property as it will somewhere beneficial for you in getting some better homes at much affordable rates too.
